We purchased this unit for our living/dining room area which is about 700-800 square feet. We've had it for a couple of months, and it is working very well. It keeps our room cool, but it is loud. However, we do understand that it is going to be loud because, after all, it is a window unit. It is just a little bit louder than another 12,0000 BTU unit we purchased in another room.The construction is solid, and it has many different settings. I love having the remote control with the "Follow Me" functionality which allows you to set a temperature on the unit and then where ever you place the remote, it keeps track of the temp at that location and tells the unit to either turn on/off when it reaches the correct temp. The remote does have to have a "line of site" to the unit, but if you do that, it works well. The unit blows very cold air.I was skeptical about how well this unit would work because of the low price, but so far...so good. If we have any issues with it, I'll be sure to update this review. I've just had mine for about 3 days and love it! I placed it in my living room window and kitchen is openly connected,so about 600 square feet. Even on the warmest days above 90 degrees and high humidity, it's highest setting is way to cold for me. When outside temp is in between the 70's thru upper 80's,almost still to cool set at 74. Looks great, not obtrusive, mounts solidly to window frame when mounted correctly. At a slight tilt back and drains really good. I am extremely satisfied so far!

I ordered my unit about three weeks ago in the middle of a very hot spell here in the North East. The unit arrived on my porch two days later (free shipping thank you) and was in perfect condition. I was very pleased with the reduced weight of the new air conditioner, my old one weighed a ton and was hard to get in and out of the window, this one by Keystone is much lighter and was installed and up and running in about ten minutes. The unit makes less operational noise than any of our five other window units in the house, my goal would be to replace them all with units like the Keystone, and with its remote controler it is really quite easy to operate. I use the unit in a window that is on the west end of the house in a room that opens into three other rooms that have five foot open arches between them. The unit provides enough cool air to make the whole area comfortable. This is an area of about 800 square feet, and with a couple well place fans to push the conditioned air through the archways it is very comfortable, and that is with the unit on low to medium fan speed and the temperature set at 69 or 70. I am very pleased with the unit and would buy another as well as recomend the Brand to others. Just to further clearify I would add that the rooms this unit cools face south and each has a 3 by 5 foot south facing window. The house was built in 1830, so the insulation is not ideal.
