The Koldfront PAC1401W is a 14,000 BTU portable air conditioner that offers you a cost effective and convenient way to cool enclosed areas up to 500 Sq.Ft. The unit includes an air vent hose and window kit that expands out to 38” maximum. The PAC1401W offers features such as a 24hr programmable timer, dehumidifier function, 3 fan speeds, digital thermostat control with a 62F to 88F setting range, remote control and caster wheels. The unit includes a washable pre-filter and one replaceable carbon filter to help control odors and pollutants. The unit features an internal condensate removal system that will handle all but the most humid environments saving you the trouble of manually emptying a water bucket. The Koldfront PAC1401W offers you the power of 14,000 BTU’s in a price range equal to many of the 12,000 BTU rated units on the market today.

I live in Arizona and needed something better than a Evap cooler for my garage. This unit works well even when the outside temp is 115 degrees. It will bring the inside garage temp down to 85 degrees in 700 sq feet of garage.

I love this a/c unit for my bedroom - works like a charm and reasonably quiet if you keep all the filters cleaned. My only question is who designed the exhaust hose set up? It is absolutley ridiculous. I've gone through about $20 of duck tape just trying to keep the stupid exhaust hose in the plastic piece. Why the engineers took a lunch break on this part of the unit is just beyond me. I finally just superglued the darn pieces together. Otherwise, great machine but for the money - they really dropped the ball on the exhaust hose set up.

The Koldfront portable A/C is fantastic! Why waste money cooling an entire home if you are mainly using one room? We turn the main A/C on for the whole house about 30 minutes a day, and then it is off! We have one portable for the front living area and one for the bed room. We placed a sliding wood panel to go over the screen on the window outside over the hose opening in case of rain. We never have to worry about those horror stories of this one leaking water.
